Beverage Carts for Outdoor Entertaining

Since this week has been all about beverages, I wanted to close out the week by featuring some fabulous outdoor beverage carts.  If you're entertaining this summer, build a bar by using a beverage cart, an antique wrought-iron cart/estate sale find, or use a tray that you've repurposed for outdoor entertaining.
Hopefully, this inspiration board will inspire you to take your party outside!

Festive Signature Drink Additions

Since I've been discussing signature drinks and beverages this week, I thought I'd share some photos of some custom drink "flair" I've added for clients.

Here are some custom stir flags for Reese's 1st Birthday in the party's signature colors.

Here are some photos from a 40th Birthday Party.
My client and I discussed several different names for her husband Tom's signature drink.  She decided on the Southern Sour, but here were my other suggestions (just to show you how to get creative when you name your signature drink)

Tomtini

Toast to Tom

The Big 4-0 (Jack and Amaretto)

Southern Sour

Tom's Tennessee Tea

Tom's Toddy

Tom's Tennessee Toddy

I created these bird stir sticks for drinks or desserts.  The picture below is from a photo shoot for At Home TN magazine, and I used them to decorate dessert shots.

This picture features "Baby-tinis" we served at a baby shower.
We rimmed the glasses in pink sugar before pouring the strawberry punch.

I created these stir sticks for drinks we served at a recent Bridal Show.  They featured our You're Invited Gifts, Paper and Events logo.

Signature Drinks

As I work with my clients, I always try to incorporate something unique into their wedding or event.  One easy way to do that is with a signature drink.  Yesterday, I posted fabulous beverage dispensers for signature drinks and cocktails.  Today, I'm featuring individual glasses filled with a signature drink.

Signature Drinks

Tips on Signature Drinks:

  1. Use festive glassware for your signaure drink
  2. Display them on great trays, on sheets of plexiglass elevated with various materials (glassblocks, glass vases, etc), or in antique containers that have been repurposed for your wedding or event.
  3. Use fun garnishes, such as skewers of fruit, custom stir sticks, or whimsical straws
  4. Use your wedding colors as the starting point for your signature drink!
  5. Come up with creative names for your drinks and have custom cocktail menus printed and framed on the bar
  6. Have custom napkins printed (DIY-stamp them yourself)

Beverage Dispensers

It's summertime and what better way to cool down than with a refreshing, ice cold drink!  These beverage dispensers below are the perfect addition to any summer party or wedding.  Not only do beverage stations look great at an event, but they also help save on cost.  If you want to serve alcohol, but are looking for a more cost-effective approach, serving a few signature drinks is a great option.  You get to choose what alcohol is served, instead of having to pay for a full bar.
With any beverage dispenser, remember to "jazz it up!"  Tons of sliced fruits makes a better visual impact than just serving the liquid alone.  It also helps infuse the drink with more flavor!
